Fractions + operations in one set
The fraction puzzle with operation exercises is designed so that children can not only “see” fractions but also start calculating with them. The upper part holds the fraction circles (the whole and its parts), and the lower part is the operations area, where practical exercises are done with numbers and signs.
A great educational resource when you want children to discover maths rules through experience. Using their hands and movement, they can build, explore and understand the complex world of fractions more easily.
How children learn through play
1) Fraction circles (visual understanding):
The child builds circles from different parts (e.g. 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, etc.) and sees how fractions make up a whole and how they differ.
2) Operation exercises (maths tasks):
In the lower part the child uses numbers and signs to:
- compare fractions (e.g. 1/2 > 1/4),
- build equations and understand relationships visually,
- practise adding and subtracting fractions (simple combinations).
This format is especially suitable for hands-on lessons: the child tries, makes mistakes, rearranges and finds the correct solution on their own.
